5 years agoOakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman, who was hit in the head by a pitch Wednesday, is not in the lineup Thursday. Nor is DH Khris Davis, who is on paternity leave. Chapman is reportedly fine after the HBP but will sit. This leaves Chad Pinder with his eighth start at third base this season, and Jurickson Profar to take the DH spot. Oakland faces Kansas City Royals starter Glenn Sparkman in Kansas City. Sparkman has the fourth-worst ERA and very worst xFIP of any pitcher with more than 100 innings this season, making several A's worth consideration in DFS. Even Profar and Pinder can make sense at the right price.--Nathaniel Green
