Dolphins Defense Unlikely to Be Viable Option in 2019
5 years agoComing off of a year in which they gave up the most yards and second-most points in franchise history, the Miami Dolphins Defense isn't likely to get much better, even with the hire of former Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores as head coach. Miami may claim they're not tanking but they certainly won't be trying very hard to win games in this rebuilding year, which means a young and unproven defense that's anchored by cornerback Xavien Howard, and little else. Combine that with an offense that looked mostly inept during the preseason and you have a recipe for a defense that's going to be abused for long periods of time each game. Opening their season at home against the Ravens, there's little reason to roster the Dolphins defense now, or in the future.
