5 years agoPhiladelphia shortstop Jean Segura will leadoff for the Phillies for the first time since June 18 when they take on the Mets at home on Saturday afternoon. While overall Segura has hit second for the majority of the 2019 season, the former Mariner has spent most of August hitting in the middle of the order for the Phillies, with most of his plate-appearances coming at fourth or fifth. Manager Gabe Kaplan may be wanting some more pop out of the meat of his lineup, as Segura has only a .398 SLG and zero home runs in 94 PA since he moved down in the order on August fifth.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
