Charlie Morton Strong In Win
5 years agoTampa Bay pitcher Charlie Morton bounced back on Sunday, as the Rays defeated the Indians 8-2. It was a bounceback performance for Morton after he allowed six runs in four innings during a loss to the Astros in his last time out. Morton allowed just one run on four hits and three walks today, striking out eight in 5 1/3 innings. The 35-year-old right-hander is now 14-6 on the year and lines up for a premium matchup in his next start, as he'll face the Toronto Blue Jays (who were just no-hit by Justin Verlander) at home.
