Scott Kingery Goes Deep Monday
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies utilityman Scott Kingery went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Monday in Cincinnati. Kingery got the scoring started in the second inning by launching a two-run shot off starter Anthony DeSclafani. Kingery also struck out twice in the contest which is a continuation of his second-half struggles. Kingery has just a .765 OPS in the second half while striking out at a whopping 29.5 percent rate. Kingery has 16 home runs and 10 steals on the season making him a fine upside play in deeper leagues, but those in standard size mixed leagues may want to check what is on waivers as an option for the fantasy playoffs.
