Case Keenum Impressive In Week 1
5 years agoWashington Redskins quarterback Case Keenum had himself a day against the Philadelphia Eagles. Keenum's final line for Week 1 was 30 completions on 45 attempts, 380 yards, three touchdowns, and zero turnovers. The Redskins were supposed to roll over for the Eagles in this matchup, but Keenum would have none of it, leading the Redskins to a 20-7 halftime lead on early touchdown tosses to Vernon Davis and Terry McLaurin. Washington's defense faltered down the stretch, forcing Keenum to continue to throw and rack up more fantasy production in the second half. His day culminated in a garbage-time touchdown to Trey Quinn. Most encouraging about Keenum's performance is that he connected with eight different pass-catchers. Keenum will have another tough test in Week 2 against the Cowboys, but so far, so good for the journeyman QB.
