5 years agoThe Carolina Panthers Defense had a day to forget in Week 1 against the Rams. Though the Panthers held running back Todd Gurley to just 97 yards on 14 carries, they allowed four total touchdowns, including two from backup Malcolm Brown, who had a pair of trips to the end zone on Sunday. Overall, it wasn’t a strong performance, as Carolina had trouble stopping Los Angeles’ high-powered offense, giving up 349 total yards while only finishing with one sack and interception each. Things won’t get any easier, as the Panthers will welcome head coach Bruce Arians and the Bucs on Thursday night to kick off Week 2.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
