5 years agoMiami Dolphins running back Kalen Ballage was thought to be the backup to Kenyan Drake but got the starting nod in Week 1, carrying the ball five times for negative-one yard in a 52-10 blowout loss to the Ravens. Ballage also caught his lone target for a 13-yard reception, while Drake had four carries and two receptions on three targets. Given that the Dolphins were already down 28-0 in the first quarter, it's hard to judge a running game that was abandoned early. But Ballage's owners have to be happy with his usage and starting role, even though it seems it'll be a committee situation for the time being in Miami.--Nicklaus Gaut - RotoBaller
