Damion Willis Has A Minimal Week 1 Role
5 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Damion Willis played in his first NFL contest on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, but he was clearly the third or fourth receiving option for the team. Tyler Boyd and John Ross were the Bengals primary pass catchers with AJ Green (ankle) out of the lineup, seeing a combined 23 targets. Willis was only targeted five times on Sunday, reeling in three of them for 30 yards. Unless Boyd or Ross suffers an injury before Green returns to action, the rookie wide receiver is likely to have a minimal role in Cincy’s passing attack.
