Sonny Gray Pitches Well in Loss to Seattle
5 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Sonny Gray pitched well in a 5-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday. Gray allowed three runs in 6 1/3 innings while striking out nine. It was really only one mistake that did him in as he cruised through six no-hit innings before he allowed a three-run homer to Kyle Lewis in the seventh. Gray is putting the finishing touches on one of the best seasons of his career, posting a 10-7 record, 2.80 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, and 190 strikeouts in 163 2/3 innings of work. Keep him active for his next start, which comes against the Chicago Cubs.
