Zach Eflin Doesn't Last Through Fourth Inning
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin allowed three runs, none earned, in 3 2/3 innings pitched against the Braves on Wednesday. Despite the zero ERA, Eflin wasn't effective in this game allowing three hits and three walks while needing 95 pitches to last as long as he did. The big blow in the contest was a three-run homer off the bat of Tyler Flowers but Eflin was bailed out by an error by shortstop Jean Segura making those runs unearned. Eflin has bounced between the rotation and bullpen this season and is not currently scheduled for a next start. If he makes a start next week it would likely be another tough matchup against the Braves or Indians, fantasy owners can safely fade Eflin.
