5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, and two runs scored Sunday against the Red Sox. A second-inning homer off Rick Porcello extended Hoskins' hit streak to seven games, though this was only the second multi-hit game during the streak. It was also the first homer for Hoskins since September 2 as the big first baseman has struggled to find his power stroke all year. Hoskins has a career-low .481 slugging percentage and while his batting average sits at an abysmal .239. Despite the rough season, Hoskins is worth starting in fantasy as he's been better lately, his 55.3 percent hard-contact rate in September is the highest it's been in any month, so he could be in store for a hot finish.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
