Tyler Alexander Earns First MLB Win
5 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Tyler Alexander allowed one run across six innings and earned his first career win Monday against the Orioles. Alexander only allowed four hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out three. Alexander now sports a 4.87 ERA across 44 1/3 Big League innings after putting up a 5.13 ERA in Triple-A this season despite a 4.56 xFIP. He has a good matchup against the White Sox lined up for Sunday but Alexander isn't a pitcher that should be added in fantasy. His 21.3 percent strikeout rate is below average and won't get much run support pitching for the Tigers.
