ANALYSIS: I'm sure that a lot of people viewed Jason Witten's return to the Cowboys less as an indication that he was still a productive football player and more as an indictment on his failed broadcasting career, but in Week 2 we got a reminder that the veteran tight end still has some use.
Witten caught four passes for 25 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He was on the field for 77 percent of the Cowboys' offensive snaps and was targeted on three consecutive red zone plays to close the first half, though one play was negated by penalty.
Quarterback Dak Prescott likes having Witten as a big target down near the goal line, and that's going to give him streaming potential in this high-powered offense. Witten won't be putting up huge yardage totals, but he's got a chance to find pay dirt each week, especially over the next few games with Michael Gallup (knee) sidelined.
