Jose Berrios Gives Up Five Runs to Royals
5 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Jose Berrios struggled in a 12-5 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. Berrios allowed five runs over six innings while striking out five. It goes down as another disappointing second-half start for Berrios, who has not been as sharp as he was in the first half. He now has a 5.15 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over the past month, spanning 36 2/3 innings of work. Overall, Berrios has a 13-8 record, 3.70 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 186 strikeouts in 194 1/3 innings of work. He will see the Royals again on Friday in his last start of the regular season.
