Mike Minor Labors For 200th Strikeout
5 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor allowed five runs in 8 2/3 innings with nine strikeouts in a win over the Red Sox Thursday. The nine strikeouts are what mattered to Minor as he labored through 126 pitches, and a suspect pop fly that was allowed to drop foul, in order to reach the 200 strikeout milestone. Regardless of how the veteran lefty got to 200 K's, he put up a great season for fantasy owners. Minor finished the season 14-10 with a 3.59 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and those 200 strikeouts in 208 1/3 innings.
