5 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling has seen his performance fluctuate through the first quarter of the 2019 season. During Thursday’s defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, Valdes-Scantling was targeted seven times by Aaron Rodgers, but finished with just three receptions totaling 47 yards. Just a week removed from a near 100-yard game that also featured a touchdown reception, Valdes-Scantling’s downturn gives owners reason for pause. Alas, the departure of Davante Adams with what appears to be a significant toe injury, opens the door for Valdes-Scantling to be in line for even more of an expanded offensive role Week 5 vs. Dallas.--Jesse Borek
