5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a Game 1 win vs the Twins. Gardner found his power stroke down the stretch launching 10 long balls in September and carried that success to the postseason Friday night. Gardner should provide good DFS value batting third in a strong Yankees lineup if that is where he sticks moving forward. Despite his recent success, Gardner faces a tough matchup Saturday against Jake Odorizzi who he has a lifetime .188 batting average against in 32 career at-bats.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
