Ty Montgomery, Bilal Powell Total Three Touches
5 years agoNew York Jets running back Ty Montgomery had two carries for one yard and Bilal Powell had one carry for four yards in a loss to the Eagles Sunday. Neither running back had a target in the passing game. Before the season, head coach Adam Gase said the Jets would not work starting running back Le'Veon Bell the way he was in Pittsburgh. That has not been the case, however, as Bell has played well over 90 percent of the Jets offensive snaps while no other running back has gotten more than six touches in a game. Montgomery is the likely handcuff to Bell should Bell get injured, but as long as the Jets are using Bell as a true every-down workhorse, no other Jets running back has any fantasy value.
