Freddie Freeman Goes 0-for-5 with 3 K’s in Loss
5 years agoIt was a miserable day at the plate for one of the best hitters in baseball. Besides the three strikeouts, he spent his other two at-bats grounding into a double-play and making the 2nd out in the 9th inning with Acuna on second base. Facing off with Dakota Hudson, who’s struggled with lefties, you’d expect Freeman to be dialed in and at least make hard contact. Maybe he woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or maybe playoff baseball is just crazy. He’ll have a chance to redeem himself in game 5 at home in Atlanta, where he’s sported a .400+ wOBA on the season.
