5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Kike Hernandez hit a solo home run in the second inning of the Dodgers 7-3 loss to the Nationals in extra innings of Game 5. Hernandez smoked a pitch from the Nationals Stephen Strasburg opposite field to give the Dodgers, at the time, a cushy 3-0 lead. But the Dodgers, who won 106 games this season, couldn't keep the lead for nine innings and now their season is over. Hernandez performed well in the final two games he played, driving in three runs and going 3-for-6. Hernandez is a key role player for the Dodgers heading into the offseason.--Joey C - RotoBaller
