5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton will ride the bench to start Game 3 against Gerrit Cole and the Houston Astros. Stanton is 2-for-4 in the series thus far but the Yankees have opted to start Aaron Hicks in his place. It has been a lost season for the slugger but Stanton has come up with some big home runs in the postseason thus far. Even more curious, Stanton is slashing .300/.471/.800 in 10 career at-bats against Cole with one home run and two doubles. Stanton will represent a major threat off the bench in Game 3.--Joey C - RotoBaller
