5 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman cracked a two-run home run in the first inning of the team's 12-3 loss to the Nationals in Game 2 of the World Series. Bregman's blast gave the home crowd life, tying the game after starter Justin Verlander allowed a pair of first inning runs. But the floodgates burst open in the seventh inning as the Nationals scored six runs en route to the blowout victory. The home run was Bregman's first round-tripper since October 5 and is slugging only .442 through 43 postseason at-bats. The 25-year-old will need to rediscover his MVP-form if the Astros have any hopes of coming back in this series.--Joey C - RotoBaller
