5 years agoWashington Nationals starter Max Scherzer is ready to start Game 7 of the World Series Wednesday night. Scherzer was pulled from his Game 5 start at the last second due to back spasms and a pinched nerve in his neck. One cortisone shot and a long-toss session in the outfield later and the former Cy Young winner will take the mound with everything on the line. Scherzer is 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA this postseason and the Nationals will have a full arsenal of options out of the bullpen.
