5 years agoDetroit Lions running back Ty Johnson greatly disappointed fantasy owners in Week 8, especially those who used a decent portion of their FAAB to grab him, and things aren't likely to change this week against a Raiders Defense that is currently tied for fifth in yards per carry allowed. Johnson, who was assumed to be the top option in the Lions backfield after Kerryon Johnson (knee) was placed on Injured Reserve, ended up seeing just seven carries and one target while backfield mate Tra Carson led the way with 12 touches. Neither back was able to surpass the 34-yard mark. J.D. McKissic was also targeted three times out of the backfield but was only able to produce one yard. This backfield is currently a mess, to put it mildly. Fantasy owners badly in need of a bye-week fill-in can roll the dice with Johnson in this one. Otherwise, you can probably do better.--Joseph Magazzinich
