BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 5% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Dawson Knox lost fantasy owners’ favor during the past few weeks due to his underwhelming performances from weeks 5 to 9 but he came back this past weekend putting on a 9.5-point game that bolstered his value back a bit. The third-round rookie was never expected to excel this season, mind you, as his ADP of 442 prior to the season clearly tells. Even with that, and playing under Josh Allen, he had a mini-run of good games early in the season that called for a promising year.
Although Knox didn’t start the year well (back-to-back under three-point performances) he smashed the game in the next two weeks to the tune of six receptions, 125 yards and a touchdown combined in weeks 3 and 4. All in all, he finished those two weeks with a total of 25.4 points in PPR leagues. The fact that those games came against above-average defenses against the position (Cincinnati and more than anything New England) made him a buzzing in fantasy.
After that, he put on some duds (3.2, 4.2, zero, 3.4 points) but in Week 10 he finished with 9.5 points that amounted for 55 yards on four receptions. He was targeted six times (season-high) and if that holds then he might become relevant again in fantasy. No tight end out of the sure-things is a lock in fantasy this season, so consider Knox a potentially good addition if you play in deeper leagues. The Bills face Miami (20th against TE), Dallas (30th), and Pittsburgh (26th) in three of their next five games, which adds more value to his upside.
