Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (SF/PF, TOR) - Week 5 Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add In 14-Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 8% of leagues

ANALYSIS: One of my non-RotoBaller jobs involves writing about the Brooklyn Nets, so I've watched a lot of Rondae Hollis-Jefferson in my time and I knew it wouldn't be too long before he carved out a role with the Raptors.

With Toronto dealing with injuries, RHJ has been cast into a larger role, averaging 26.7 minutes over the last games. In that span, Hollis-Jefferson is shooting 56 percent from the floor, with averages of 11 points, two steals, and eight rebounds per game. Hollis-Jefferson's game is weird -- he's a forward without a three-point game who doesn't really have the size to be a traditional power forward -- but his combination of scores at the bucket and defensive ability has made him an intriguing deep league option.

When the Raptors get healthy, it's possible Hollis-Jefferson is back out of the rotation, but for now he's playing a crucial role for them. If you need points, rebounds, steals, and field goal percentage help, RHJ is a solid option for now.
