Taylor Gabriel (WR, CHI) - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 6% of Leagues

ANALYSIS: The Bears are such a mess, but that didn't keep Taylor Gabriel from getting targeted 14 times against the Rams. Gabriel caught seven of those, finishing with 57 yards.

The Bears promised to run the ball more, but Matt Nagy must have forgotten that as Sunday saw them throw 47 passes in a game that they only lost by 10. Gabriel and teammate Anthony Miller each had double-digit targets, but Gabriel was on the field just a little more, 91 percent of the time to Miller's 86 percent. But the Bears did seem intent on getting into three-receiver sets as often as possible, so maybe it's time we christen them with the whole "bad team produces decent fantasy numbers because the team is bad" moniker, like those old Blake Bortles Jaguars had.

Gabriel's target numbers make him an intriguing pick up in 14-team leagues and an intriguing flex option against the Giants in PPR leagues, where he should be able to build up steam as the game goes along, assuming the Bears remain committed to throwing. (Which, they realistically shouldn't commit to, but MATT NAGY!)
