DraftKings, FanDuel DFS Guards
Tre Jones - G, Duke (FanDuel $7,800 DraftKings $8,400)
Tre Jones player just 29 minutes last night as Coach K was well aware of the back to back. Duke is favored by just 13 points in this game and Jones should be closer to 40 minutes here. He’s as safe as it gets when he’s on the floor, as he has the ball in his hands every possession and stuff the stat sheet. His price has also come down a bit on both sites, and he’s my favorite guard that’s available on both sites. On FanDuel, Skylar Mays and Sam Merrill are in play. On DraftKings, Nate Pierre-Louis is my favorite play at guard.
Anthony Mathis - G, Oregon (FanDuel $4,800 DraftKings $6,000)
Mathis has played between 25 and 27 minutes in every game this season. He exploded for 30 real-life points against Boise State and he has that upside every time he takes the floor. Mathis is extremely cheap and you only need 15 fantasy points to hit value, which is his floor. The upside is huge and you need value on this slate very badly. For value, Temple on DraftKings and Smart on FanDuel.
DraftKings, FanDuel DFS Forwards
Vernon Carey - F, Duke (FanDuel $7,300 DraftKings $8,100)
This offense runs through Vernon Carey and Tre Jones. I’ve been preaching to play Carey these last few games as those first couple were a complete fluke. This is one of the best players in college basketball and he just had to find his footing. He put up a ridiculous 51 fantasy points last night in just 22 minutes. He’s going to battle with Yurtseven and I love Carey going for another big double-double. This will be a fun game to watch.
Nate Sestina - F, Kentucky (FanDuel $5,600 DraftKings $6,500)
Sestina averaged 15 points and nine rebounds a game last year, and was expected to take an even further step up this season. Look at what he did against Eastern Kentucky. That was expected to be every game, and I expect he will hit a groove at some point. This match-up against St. Mary’s is an amazing one and I think Sestina gets back over 25 fantasy points. His price is too low on both sites and he makes for a phenomenal value play.
