Mike Gesicki Scores For First Time This Year
5 years agoAt a position where just a heartbeat can sometimes qualify you as viable, Miami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki has occasionally popped up as a streaming candidate in 2019, only to mostly disappoint his owners. In Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns, Gesicki got off the snide, scoring his first touchdown of the year (and Miami's first of the day) on an 11-yard pass from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick midway through the third quarter. Along with the score, Gesicki finished with just 28 yards on three receptions, with his seven targets tying him for second-most on the team. Facing a Philadelphia Eagles team in Week 13 that has allowed just the sixth-fewest points to tight ends this year, there are better places to look than Gesicki, even given the shallowness of the position.
