Redskins Defense Not Poised For Success In Week 13
5 years agoThe Washington Redskins Defense may be garnering some attention on the waiver wire for Week 13 after forcing four turnovers and scoring a special teams touchdown last week against the Lions. The Redskins also recorded six sacks to round out what was an impressive fantasy day. While Washington has been a half-decent real-life defense (all things considered) in some regards, a matchup with the Panthers this week doesn't exactly invite an encore of last week's fantasy outing. Carolina is a competent offense that operates heavily through the best running back in the league in Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey is the type of player who can dismantle an opposing defense all by himself, and the Redskins shouldn't have nearly as many opportunities for sacks and interceptions with him toting the ball 25 times out of the backfield. Washington should not be viewed as a trustworthy fantasy play for Week 13.
