Diontae Johnson Could Thrive In Expanded Role
5 years agoPittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson has the potential to shine against the Browns on Sunday. With JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion/knee) ruled out, and James Conner (shoulder) also unlikely to play, Johnson, along with James Washington, will likely serve as the primary beneficiaries. The 23-year-old was second on the team in targets during the Week 12 win over the Bengals but only managed to produce three catches for a subpar 29 yards. Nonetheless, the upside is there, even with rookie quarterback Devlin Hodges getting the start in Week 13, especially for those in 14-team leagues and up.
