BALLER MOVE: Add In All Leagues
OWNED IN: 39% of leagues
ANALYSIS: The Dallas Mavericks are the NBA's biggest surprise, and one of the biggest surprises in Dallas has been the emergence of Tim Hardaway Jr. as the team's third best player.
Is that sustainable?
Probably not.
Is he worth a roster spot for now because of his scoring output?
Definitely.
Over the last five games, Hardaway has hit the 20 point mark three times, including a 31-point, four-rebound, five-assist effort against the Rockets. Luka Doncic's usage and Kristaps Porzingis' impact will mean Hardaway has some moments where he isn't scoring a ton, but overall he should be someone you can trust to score buckets when you need someone to score buckets. Add in that he's been pretty efficient lately and you get a guy who should be owned in all fantasy formats at this point, even if there's the risk that Hardaway turns back into the Hardaway of old and vanishes. That risk shouldn't factor into things unless the Mavericks make some roster moves that cause Hardaway's role to diminish.
