5 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers are reportedly considering benching quarterback Philip Rivers if he continues his current level of play. With a solid backup quarterback waiting in the wings in Tyrod Taylor, the Chargers could choose to see if Taylor's got what it takes to be the team's 2020 starter. Taylor's done a good job during his career when it comes to not throwing interceptions, including leading the NFL in lowest interception percentage in 2017. He's also added solid rushing numbers in each of his full-time seasons. It's hard to trust him in re-draft if he gets the job, but he does have higher upside than Rivers right now.--Justin Carter - RotoBaller
