Adrian Peterson Goes Off Despite Workload Split
5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson toted the ball 13 times on Sunday, racking up 99 yards and a touchdown on the way. The Week 13 performance marked the first time since Derrius Guice returned three games ago that Peterson was able to do anything of consequence with his limited work. In what has to be considered one of the crueler examples of fantasy irony in 2019, both he and Guice exploded in a favorable matchup against the Panthers after two straight games of scavenging each other's value away in a relatively even backfield split. Peterson remains the more volume-dependent of the two, as it's not going to be every week that he accumulates upwards of 100 yards on 13 carries. Still, for his fantasy owners, it's nice to see that Peterson still has what it takes to provide value under the right circumstances.
