Josh Reynolds (WR, LAR) - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 4% of Leagues

ANALYSISBrandin Cooks has been back from his concussion two weeks now, but he’s logged just six targets and caught four passes in the span for 56 yards. Those are not horrible numbers, but they are fram from Cook’s average production so one has to wonder what is going on with him and if he’s still not at 100%. Josh Reynolds keeps taking advantage of the situation, though, as most of all he surpassed Cooks' usage and production this past Sunday against Arizona with five targets and four receptions for 39 yards. He finished with 7.9 fantasy points, nothing otherworldly but on par with his season average.

If the Rams can get Jared Goff to perform as an NFL quarterback and field their three-headed monster receiving corps, then they’ll go for it. The problem is that Cooks has yet to find his groove and Reynolds had four of five games lately in which he certainly performed nicely. He virtually reached 40-plus yards in every one of them and limited opportunities (he topped at four receptions this past Sunday). All in all, Reynolds has caught 15 of his 26 targets in his last five games, scored a touchdown, racked up 224 yards and averaged 14.9 yards per reception.

Reynolds can be considered a good flex or second-flex option if the Rams’ receivers (namely Cook) keeps struggling. Kupp has also had up and downs lately, and that could also help Reynolds’ upside going forward. If only as a one-week-play, you should consider Reynolds if you play in a deep league where options are very limited. Reynolds should offer between 8 and 10 points with upside for 15-plus if he finds the end zone, though he hasn’t been targeted inside the 20-yard line in his last four games. Seattle is ranked 19th against WRs so that boosts Reynolds upside at least a bit in Week 14 assuming he keeps logging snaps.
