BALLER MOVE: Add In 14-Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 11% of leagues
ANALYSIS: When the Rockets traded De'Anthony Melton to the Suns last year, I -- a Rockets fan -- was upset. And when the Suns traded Melton before this season to the Grizzlies, I -- a Melton fan -- was upset. Memphis was a bad landing spot, because they had a lot of guards ahead of him.
But Melton's seen his minutes increase lately, and over the last four games he's averaging 9.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
With JA Morant out, there's been room for Melton to grow into a larger role, and if the Grizzlies play it safe with Morant's back issues, Melton should maintain this current role for a couple more weeks.
After that? They've got to find a way to get him on the floor. Melton can provide more as a bench guard than someone like Grayson Allen can for them, right?
If you have room, Melton is a fine add in a 12-team league in the short term, and I like him long term in deeper leagues as well.
