Darius Slayton Finds End Zone To Save Day
5 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton hauled in a second-half touchdown to salvage his day on Sunday. A week after manhandling the Eagles, many people expected big things for the rookie, but it's important to keep in mind that a few of his big catches last week came on busted coverages. Against the Dolphins on Sunday, he secured two of his three targets for 31 yards and the touchdown. He's clearly the second option as a wide receiver but also saw fewer targets than Saquon Barkley and the same amount as Kaden Smith. If Evan Engram were to return next week, it would push Slayton even further down the pecking order.
