Chris Conley (WR, JAX) - Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups

BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues

OWNED IN: 22% of Leagues

ANALYSISWhile Chris Conley’s season hasn’t been the best from a receiver league-wide, not a lot of us would have predicted him finishing the year as the Jaguar with the second-most snaps played in 2019. He’s only trailing D.J. Chark and Conley's incredible game against Oakland this past Sunday makes him a player to consider for championship weekend. In just four catches (49 yards) on eight targets, Conley was able to score two touchdowns. That won’t happen every week, but he’s shown catching prowess in other games and he definitely has that 20-point in him.

Conley’s run after the bye week (Week 10) hasn’t been great, not going to lie here. He has not reached 60 yards in any game although he’s finished every one of them except one with at least 49. He had not scored a touchdown since Week 8, but that first half of the season had enough bright moments to make us believe in a comeback from him during the fantasy playoffs. Conley’s had six games this year in the double-digit fantasy points. He’s a low-yardage receiver but pretty steady at it, with nine of 14 games finishing with between 45 and 105 receiving yards.

If you have a fragile heart you might not want to put Conley in your lineup for the upcoming weekend and championship game. Sure, he’s shown his 20-plus fantasy points ceiling in three games this year and comes hot after last Sunday, but he’s also dropped a literal egg (Week 6) and his floor sits at around 5-to-10 FP. If you need depth for your flex/second-flex spot as injuries or other issues have put you in that position, then Conley should be a good addition. Remember he’s a true boom/bust play and temper your expectations. You’d be good to go no matter what if Chark has to miss another game due to his current ankle injury, so keep an eye on that story during the week!
