5 years agoNew York Islanders center Mathew Barzal scored one goal and added one assist in Saturday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks. Barzal was one of seven Islanders skaters to record multi-point efforts in the loss, including Ryan Pulock, Anders Lee, Brock Nelson, Jordan Eberle and Derrick Brassard — as each player posted two points. Defenseman Nick Leddy scored his third goal to go along with two assists — resulting in his third three-point performance of the season. Barzal has recorded five goals and three assists in the month of December to bring his season total up to 15 goals, 15 assists and 30 points through 34 games. Barzal should be owned in all fantasy formats as the 22-year-old is one of the most skilled young forwards in the league.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
