Drew Brees Struggles In Loss To Vikings
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees completed 26 of 33 passes for 208 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and a fumble in a 26-20 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. It was a dismal day for Brees and the Saints offense, as he averaged his lowest yards per attempt since his Thanksgiving Day dud against the Falcons- and looked uncomfortable for much of the game. Minnesota's pass rush certainly had something to do with this. Brees also picked the worst time to lose his first fumble of the season- with 4:18 left in the game and the Saints driving to try to tie or win the game. Still, Brees ended up with 27 touchdowns to just four interceptions this year, after missing five games. A free agent with his 41st birthday approaching, it's likely Brees will be back in New Orleans with an even bigger chip on his shoulder in 2020.
