5 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (back) may return from surgery earlier than originally anticipated, with a hopeful return date in the first third of the season. If he does come back early, Paxton will have a chance to push his value back up as he enters a walk year, but his early return could be bad news for back-end Yankee starters, including J.A. Happ, Jordan Montgomery and Deivi Garcia. Fantasy owners shouldn’t let this news affect Paxton’s value too much, as there is still uncertainty surrounding his timeline, but this is certainly an encouraging update that should have Paxton's fantasy owners a little less worried.--Sam Chinitz
