Nathan MacKinnon Scores Winning Goal for Avalanche
5 years agoThe Colorado Avalanche defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday night thanks to Nathan MacKinnon’s third-period goal. It was also his 75th point of the season and 11th point in the last 10 games. Nazem Kadri had the other goal for Colorado, which was his fourth goal in five games. Cale Makar’s assist gave him eight points in seven games. Philipp Grubauer had another strong game and has now allowed just one goal in three straight games. Seth Jones scored the lone goal for Columbus, which was his first goal in five games. Boone Jenner’s power-play assist gave him points in two straight games. He also laid four hits. Elvis Merzlikins’ shutout streak was stopped at two games after he allowed two goals on 22 shots while playing on back-to-back nights.
