5 years agoThe Boston Red Sox acquired outfielder Alex Verdugo, shortstop prospect Jeter Downs, and catching prospect Connor Wong from the Los Angeles Dodgers for outfielder Mookie Betts and starter David Price. Verdugo will slide into an everyday role in the Red Sox outfield. The 23-year-old left-hander slashed .294/.342/.475 last season with 12 homers and 44 RBI in 343 at-bats. The move drastically increases Verdugo's fantasy value due to regular playing time, but it also increases his price in fantasy drafts. As for Downs, the 21-year-old was considered the fifth-best prospect in the Dodgers system, according to MLB.com. He hit .276 with 24 HRs and 86 RBI in the minor leagues last season.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
