5 years agoThe San Diego Padres signed outfielder Juan Lagares to a minor league deal on Feb. 10. According to sources, Lagares will be invited to big league camp and is likely a depth option for the Padres after outfielder Manuel Margot was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend. The light-hitting Lagares enjoyed his best offensive season in 2014, registering a .281 average, 13 steals and 93 runs-plus-RBI across 452 plate appearances. A defensive specialist with a career 82 wRC+, the 30-year-old won't be in fantasy consideration in mixed leagues if he makes the team.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
