5 years agoCincinnati Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez (shoulder) has a realistic chance at being ready for Opening Day, according to manager David Bell. The 28-year-old underwent surgery to remove loose cartilage in his shoulder back in January. While this is a promising step in the right direction, Suarez still needs to resume swinging a bat and throwing before a firmer timetable for return can be set. He slashed .271/.358/.572 last season with 49 home runs and 103 RBI. Even with the slight shoulder ailment, he is a worthy third-base option in all formats heading into 2020.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
