Cole Hamels Still Two Weeks Away From Throwing
5 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Cole Hamels (shoulder) showed up to Spring Training on Saturday, but the veteran pitcher is still a few weeks away from being cleared to throw. Hamels irritated his shoulder while working out in the offseason, and the 36-year-old will not be ready for Opening Day. When healthy, the four-time All-Star is still capable of being a mid-tier fantasy starter, especially on a potent Braves' team. Nevertheless, Hamels comes with a fair amount of risk in 2020 due to age and injury concerns.
