5 years agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Sam Haggerty went 2-for-2 with two RBI during Monday's Cactus League loss to the Cubs. The 25-year-old, who was claimed off of waivers in January, has been perfect this spring by collecting a hit in each of his four plate appearances. Haggerty may not begin the year on the team's 26-man roster, but he has a chance to find himself backing up projected starter Shed Long if the team can find a suitor for Dee Gordon, who is entering the final year of his contract.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
