5 years agoHouston Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. (elbow) will make his Grapefruit League debut on Sunday against the Cardinals. It will be the first time McCullers will take the mound since undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2018. The Astros are hoping that the right-hander can rejoin the rotation this season, but getting back on the mound is Step 1. McCullers in 2018 went 10-6 with a 3.86 ERA and 142 strikeouts in 128 1/3 innings pitched. Despite the fact that the right-hander missed all of last season, McCullers still has considerable fantasy upside and is worth an investment late in mixed league drafts.
