Lance Lynn Settles Down After Rough First Inning
5 years agoIn a 7-2 loss to the Los Angeles Angels on Friday, Texas Rangers starting pitcher Lance Lynn gave up four hits, one walk and two earned runs with three strikeouts over 2 2/3 innings. Most of the damage was done in the first inning when the righty gave up three hits and a walk to allow two runs to score. The former Cardinal found his groove after giving up his second run by striking out three of the next seven batters before he was pulled in the bottom of the third with two runners on base. Lynn will look to clean it up in his next outing as he heads into 2020 with eyes on repeating an excellent 2019, where he struck out 246 batters in 208 1/3 innings for Texas.
